SWEAT SEASON//2021
This project was developed with members of the Sweat Collective through the washing and documentation of their hands. The resulting material was digitally collaged into an animation and projected as part of Sweat Season events, also contributing to a small publication of collective member stories.
The work operates as a gentle and relational offering. It brings together gesture, memory, touch, documentation, and collective presence, allowing fragments of bodies and histories to meet through image and projection.

Research Relation
Within Meeting the Text Halfway, this project appears as a reflection on intertextuality and relational inscription. It shows how gestures, memories, images, and histories come into contact and reconfigure one another over time.
The work also contributes to the project’s concern with the body as a site of trace, relation, and afterlife. The documented hand becomes both index and surface, carrying the memory of collective encounter and, in retrospect, loss.
